As I recently posted, I've thought of a few Live Ops ideas to liven up the good old Battlefield.

I was thinking about Monday the 26th of May to try one or two out. I hope we can get as many of us together as possible, the more the merrier!

I'd say assemble around 8:00 PM on Monday evening, so we'll have plenty of time to explain the rules and get going.

I'd like to experiment with the following settings, to make the whole thing more tactical and challenging:
UI.DrawEnable 0
Friendly Fire = ON
Damage: normal

This removes the minimap, ammo/health indicators, objective markers and spotting marks. Even friendlies aren't marked. With friendly fire on, you have to communicate with your teammates and check your fire.

The game modes I've come up with are as follows:

Protect the president

Small security detail escorts a VIP from the Siege of Shanghai tower back to the US base. Chinese terrorists try to stop them. The president is only allowed to carry a pistol and cannot swim. Chinese forces win when the president is eliminated.

Commandos

Small squad will be dropped approximately 100 meters away from one of the buildings on Paracel Storm. Rig the building with explosives, fall back to the chopper or RHIB and push the button. Defending forces will be scattered around the islands' buildings, but will rush towards the strike team as soon as their position has been revealed. Get in, get out, do it quick. Commando's win if the target building is collapses and at least one member of the squad is extracted safely.

Prison Break

Prisoners, armed only with pistols attempts to run from one end of Lockers to the other, past a small guard detail (say, 1 squad) armed with shotguns and PDW's. (Weapons may be picked up from dead guards)

King of the Hill

One team attempts to blow up the warhead on ZAVOD 311, while the other team tries to prevent this from happening.

Black Hawk Down

Revival of the old BF3 Black Hawk Down. Haven't figured out the best map for it yet, maybe Hainan Resort, Lancan Dam or Flood Zone. I think Flood Zone is the best. Anyways, a squad is inserted by helicopter on one end of the map and has to escape back to the base on foot while being hunted down by every enemy and their mums.

Please select whether or not you'll be joining and which game mode you'd like to try out. I hope to see you guys around SASCOM on Monday!
